Over the weekend, Kuria told an audience that Raila should be killed because he is a threat to the national security.

Addressing the audience in his native Kikuyu language at Kasarani Stadium, Kuria is quoted as saying: “We won’t be troubled by one person forever. He can as well bite the bullet and we bury him next Monday. His protesters will throw stones for just one week and life continues,”

“If Moses Kuria's statements go unpunished, we will assume he is speaking for gov't leaders who protect him as he stokes ethnic tensions,” they said one Kenyan on twitter.

More views have been given by Kenyans on twitter, which have also responded to these remarks and called for Kuria’s arrest

Patrick Kemboi: “Moses Kuria is becoming too economical with the use of his brains if he has any,”

@atulosaya : “When you hear a dog barking, look for its owner. Only he can tell you what his dog smokes,”

Serah Nyaboke: “It’s disheartening when such leaders ignite tribal war,”

Kevyne Odhiambo: “Moses Kuria does amuse me every time he speaks in his mother tongue, someone tame the mweheshimiwa utterances!!”

Denislov Lietev: “If Moses Kuria calls for the government to assassinate Raila doesn't that mean the government is in the Assassination business?? #JacobJuma.”

Matt Timothy Kinyoda: “Demonstrators won't destabilize this country; its hate mongers like Moses Kuria & Onesmus Kimani Wa Ngunjiri who will? #NoToHateSpeech.”

This is not the first time the first time Gatundu South MP has been caught on the wrong side of the law, having been taken to court over similar utterances in the past.
