Garissa County Governor Nathif Jama Adam has urged residents of Garissa County to register in large numbers in the forthcoming nationwide voters registration exercise.
He said that the only weapon the residents can use to elect certain candidate in the August 2017 elections is by getting the voter registration card through voters registration exercise that is set to kick off tomorrow, Monday.
"I urge all the Garissa County residents to register in large numbers in the coming nationwide voters registration exercise. The only way you can elect a candidate is having the voters card and this can be achieved through voters registration exercise that begins within this month of January," said Jama.
He further urged the residents to live peacefully with one another and not to disrupt the security of the town especially during campaign periods.
"Let us live peacefully with the other communities living in Garissa and let us not bring disruption in town during campaigns," added Jama.
