Speaking on Wednesday after he met with the newly constituted GAWASCO Board, the governor further implored the board to actively partner with the County government in ensuring that residents get access to clean water.

"I call on the board and the management teams to work together with us to deliver water to all corners of Garissa town," he said.

"Turn around the fortunes of GAWASCO and make Garissa residents proud of the water supply company," Jama urged.

Also present during the visit was County Secretary Mohamud Mursal, Water Chief Officer Water Mohamed Ali and board Chairman Mohamed Sheikh.
