Garissa governor Nathif Jama has said that he deserves a second term in office since the county has made a lot of strides in terms of development.
This is after a section of leaders from the region accused Jama of massive corruption during his tenure.
“I want to state without any fear of contradiction that that despite numerous court challenges, we have indeed fulfilled many projects and programs that are relevant to the yearnings and aspirations of our people. These include issues to do with water, crop production, livestock and education,” said Jama.
He was addressing residents during the 4th Anniversary of Devolution at Garissa Primary School.
On Saturday, Senator Yusuf Haji claimed that Jama had misappropriated county funds and therefore he did not deserve a second term in office.
