With the recent visit to the Nothern Eastern region by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Garissa governor, Nathif Jama has recapitulated on working with the government despite being elected on a wiper ticket.
Speaking during a graduation ceremony for 200 Al Munawar Madarasa students, Jama said his desire is to be part of the growth regardless of political affiliations.
"There is no political sin working with the government, the government is elected by the people and is a government for all Kenyans and we need to work with it to bring development," said Jama.
He said projects like roads especially the Garissa-Wajir-Mandera Road and the national grid commissioned by the head of state would change the lives of the residents in the area and resolve problems plaguing the region.
"Our desire is to be part of the growth being witnessed under the current regime, regardless of our political affiliations," he added.
