Jamal, who has won the hearts of many youths through his skills, made the revelation during an interview with Word Is.

He also hinted at contesting for the Mvita parliamentary seat in 2022, which is currently held by Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, a close ally of Joho.

“I’m going to be his campaign manager," he said, adding, "2022 nasimama Mvita.”

Jamal, who is also Starehe MP aspirant Steve Mbogo's campaign manager, thanked his fans for the support they have accorded him since he joined the entertainment industry.

He also acknowledged that fact that it was not easy for him to reach such a decision considering his great love for his fans.

"I wanted to take a moment to thank all my fans for all the support you’ve shown me throughout my career. This has been one of the toughest decisions I have had to make” he said.

Joho is defending his seat on ODM ticket. Other aspirants are Senator Omar Hassan (Wiper) Suleiman Shahbal (Jubilee) and Nyali MP Hezron Awiti.
