The embattled Garissa Governor Nathif Jama has received another major endorsement for his second term, from the Fod community that is part of Larger Abduwak clans the county.Speaking after holding closed door meetings with community elders, youths and women groups from the said clan, Jama sold his ideologies, saying he was the best suited candidate for the seat.
He said his clean development record and having succeeded in uniting the communities in the expansive county without showing bias on religious and tribal lines was a clear indication that he is the best.
Led by Siyat Rashid, the clan said Jama had achieved most of his 2013 pre-election pledges."The community is endorsing the incumbent Jama for another term. This is because the pre -election pledges he gave us in 2012 have been achieved. Our workforce under his administration has also increased tremendously and so is our decision to back him again" said Siyat.The elder further added that jama's quest to bring unity and harmony among the various ethnic and religious groups within the county had succeeded as disclosed by reports from the national cohesion and integration commission.
