JamboPay has been a platform in which businesses, governments and individuals securely make and receive payments on web, mobile, partner banks and at its agent’s networks.
JamboPay provides payments to over 3,500 organizations in East Africa with over 10,000 agents and about 2 million subscribers of its e-wallet.
Founder and CEO Danson Muchemi has said he started the organization in 2009 and dididnt know it would rise to such an auspicious occasion.
JamboPay has enabledenabled itsit's users to pay for bills, fees,make donations and other payments over the internet or on mobile phone. It has alsoalso allowed for mobile payments such as M-PESA, Airtel Money, and YU-CASH, Bank payments, Visa and MasterCard Debit and Credit cards.
The company in 2014 won Google innovation awards, a major prestigious Award. Jambo pay has been seen as a competitor of PayPal since it's inception and this award will strategically place the company on a high scale.
