The Coastal tourism sector has received a major boost after budget airline Jambojet increased flights to Mombasa, Malindi, and Ukunda. According to Baraka FM, the airline will now be operating 62 weekly flights to the Coastal region. The service provider has increased flights to Ukunda to 14 per week and Mombasa from 22 to 39 flights per week. Passengers traveling to Kisumu from Nairobi can book any of the 14 flights, which is an increase of six from 8. The weekly flights to Malindi have, however, been reduced to nine from 13.Jambojet CEO Willem Hondius said that the changes have been adopted in order to give the customers more options and make traveling more flexible.“We have increased the frequency to not only address the demand for our service across the various routes but to also offer flexibility and flight variety to our customers. We will be offering up to 6 flights a day to Mombasa,” said Hondius in a statement released to the newsrooms. The airline has also revealed plans to introduce a 7 am flight that will be targeting businessmen conducting activities across the nation. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
