[Daily Nation]Jamii Telecom has officially joined the mobile telecommunications market with the launch of Faiba 4G Mobile Network.The company CEO and chair Joshua Chepkwony launched the network on Tuesday evening."Our promise to the consumer is that we are bringing to mobile telecommunication on the same level of quality and cost competitiveness we are known for in the fibre internet market," Chepkwony told NTV at the sidelines of the launch.The network will operate under the prefix 0747 and will be the first to provide voice over LTE. Faiba 4G will offer free voice calls, and will be able to do high definition voice and video."Data is becoming critical in the country. We believe in what we are doing, we are focusing on our customers," Chepkwony added.Currently there are four mobile networks in operation. Safaricom dominates the market followed distantly by Airtel, Telcom which rebranded recently from Orange and Equity Bank owned Equitel which works closely with Airtel.
