Janet Mbugua's husband Eddie Ndichu has secured a top managerial job with a leading multinational corporation.
Ndichu who formerly worked for Kenya Commercial Bank Group as head of digital services and mobile payments will serve as Opera’s Managing Director as well as Vice President for Fintech Africa as Opera opened an office in Kenya.
In his newly appointed role at Opera, Ndichu will oversee the development of micro-lending, remittances, payments and transaction capabilities using improved technologies in mobile and the internet.
“For years Opera has been investing in bringing fast and affordable internet access for all. For this reason, I am honored to be part of the team that seeks to grow together with the African internet ecosystem,” Said Ndichu.
“This appointment is the first step in the company’s plan to have a Kenyan Office which will become the East African hub,” Read the statement from Opera.
