Kisii High Court is on Monday morning set to give a ruling whether woman representative Janet Ong'era was validly elected or not.
Ong'era's win is being challenged by a voter Nahashon Akunga in his petition claimed that the August 8, 2017 polls was not free and fair.
Akunga also argues that the election was marred by massive irregularities and there was need for the Court to nullify her win.
However, on Ong'era's defense against the case, her lawyer Okong'o Omogeni had earlier on told the high that Ong'era was validly elected and urged the court to dismiss the petition saying that Akunga failed to prove the allegations.
In recent remarks, by Ong'era she said she was confident that she will emerge victorious and urged her supporters to remain firm.
"You don't need to worry as the case before the Kisii High court is weak. I am sure I will sail through so that I can have humble time to deliver promises I made to people," she said.
High court Judge Anthony Ndung'u is expected to give a ruling on the case at 10 AM.
Governor James Ongwae will also know his fate tomorrow.
