Jubilee Alliance Party contestants have assured that they will not hop to other parties if they will be defeated in tomorrow’s party preliminaries to get the flag bearer who will contest for Kabete constituency Member of Parliament (MP). Speaking on Saturday during a forum in a local radio station to air their agendas for the residents, they agreed to support the winner if the nomination will be conducted in a free and fair manner. Nicholas Muchai who is seeking for the party ticket assured that he will agree to the outcome. "I will support the winner and expect them also to support me if I win," he assured. Lewis Nguiyai who was the MP for Kikuyu constituency said that he learnt his lesson during last General Election and will stick to JAP. "I have tried it but failed and I said I will never shift parties. This time round, JAP has set some strategies and if I lose in a fair way I will not hop to any other party,” he assured. James Wanjohi stated that he was confident of winning the nominations and hence no reason for shifting parties. Former Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu said they will not shame the party and urged other leaders to support him when he wins. "This is the president’s party for his presidential bid in 2017 and we should not make it dirty or spoil it and I will not jump to any other party," he said. Kabete constituency seat was left vacant after gunmen killed the then MP George Muchai and the seat is being contested by over 10 aspirants most of them being from JAP as is the parties stronghold and the late MP was a member of the ruling coalition.
