Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri says newly formed Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) plans to bag more than 10 million votes in the 2017 general election.
Ngunjiri said that JAP will be stronger than any other political party in the country.
Speaking in his constituency on Sunday during a church service, Ngunjiri said uniting the Jubilee Alliance parties under one house will ensure that they easily retain power in 2017 and bag more votes than they did in 2013.
He said that the JAP train is unstoppable and warned those against it to get out of the way before they get crashed politically.
“In 2013, we garnered over 6.3 million votes but in 2017 under JAP we will reach 10 million votes," the MP said.
"JAP is like an electric powered train which has already left the station and you can only stand on its way if you want to be crashed.
"I want to tell our opponents that JAP will not divide the Jubilee family as they would have wished and we will be more united as we approach 2017,” said Ngunjiri.
The vocal legislator said that JAP will work towards ensuring that it gets MPs and senators from every region of the country in the 2017 general election.
“Those saying that we are a party of two tribes will be shocked because we will have nationwide representation in both houses,” he said.
The Jubilee Alliance parliamentary group meeting, which met in Naivasha over the weekend, unanimously endorsed the formation of JAP.
