Celebrated investigative journalist-cum politician Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu, has made a special request to NASA principals.Moha, who is contesting the Nyali parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket has asked the NASA leadership to quickly name the coalition's flag bearer ahead of the August poll.Speaking on Tuesday during an ODM Youth Aspirants meeting with party leader Raila Odinga at Orange House, Nairobi, Moha said the coalition's deadlock on the choice of candidate to take on President Uhuru Kenyatta may give their opponents an edge come August.He appealed to the four principals to swiftly name the coalition captain to give them a chance to market the candidate ahead of the poll."We are keen to make Raila's Presidential ambition a reality, as we are confident that NASA is a force to beat in August," said Moha.The award-winning journalist is however facing a daunting task as he makes a big plunge into elective politics, with the race for the Nyali seat turning into a crowded race.Already, Youth Mobilizer Said Abdalla who is said to be have Governor Joho's blessings has thrown his hat into the ring.Others include Mombasa County Assembly Speaker Thadius Rajwayi and former Mombasa Deputy Mayor John Mcharo.However, observers believe that Ali's close relationship with Raila may give him an edge over his rivals.
