Former KTN investigative reporter Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu, has said he joined the political arena because time has come for the youth to claim their positions in leadership. Moha, who is eying the Nyali Parliamentary seat in the forthcoming general polls, said the future of this nation lies in the hands of the youth, adding that they should rise and shine. “Young people must claim their place in the leadership of this country,” said Ali at Masinde Muliro Gardens, as quoted by the Standard.Moha also said Kenyans have nothing to smile about, adding that poor leadership is to blame for the problems faced by the common wananchi. The journalist turned politician further said that he decided to leave his career in order to touch the lives of the current and future generations.“Revolutionaries don't ask what is in it for me. They do it for their children and for posterity. Kenya is ripe,” said Ali. The vocal aspirant also said he dreams of that day when Kenyans will enjoy the fruits of independence without being segregated on the basis of tribe, gender, political affiliation or religion.“All I'm dreaming for is the freedom of the Nation where everyone will be equal in the eyes of the Lord,” said Mohamed.
