NASA leader Raila Odinga has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Nairobi business tycoon Jimi Wanjigi have known each other at personal level for a long while.
Speaking at the residence of Wanjigi in Nairobi, Raila said that the recent actions of police following Wanjigi are nothing but political.
He accused the president of having personal vendetta against Wanjigi, suggesting that the president could be settling scores with the tycoon by using police.
”Jimi is no stranger to Uhuru. The weapons found in the Malindi house were found in the sea in 2012. This is personal vendetta,” he said.
Raila said that police caused massive damage to property at the home, adding that this began after the Supreme Court ruling that nullified the presidential polls.
“There was severe damage. The family was using candles because the electricity was disconnected,” he added.
He was speaking this after police allegedly found illegal fire arms at Wanjigi's home.
