The chairman of Dyer & Blair Investment Bank Mr. Jimnah Mbaru has today retired as a board member of Nairobi Stock Exchange.
"Today is my last day as a director of Nairobi stock exchange as I am retiring and not offering myself for re-election. I wish all the remaining and incoming directors all the best. Thank you " tweeted Mbaru.
Mr. Jimnah Mbaru is currently employed at Dyer & Blair Investment Bank Limited in the position of Chairman. Mr. Mbaru is the foremost Investment Banker in the East African region
He has served as Chairman of both the Nairobi Stock Exchange and Africa Stock Exchange.
Mbaru has been the team leader in the establishment of the Rwanda Stock Exchange and has also played a big role in the reorganization of the Botswana Stock Exchange.
Mr. Mbaru is also keen on the integration of the regional capital markets by offering advisory services to the small and upcoming markets; the likes of Uganda securities exchange and Dar-es-salaam stock exchange.
He is a lawyer and a noted academician who has been invited to lecture at prestigious universities such as Harvard, Warwick and London School of Economics. He is a visiting Associate Professor at Stellenbosch School of Business. He serves as a Director on various corporate bodies, NGO's, Institutes and celebrated think tanks.
His achievements and knowledge have been acknowledged by President Kibaki, who appointed him to the Presidential National Economic and Social Council.
