Former Presidential candidate Cyrus Jirongo has hit out at the National Super Alliance (NASA) over their plans to swear in Raila Odinga as the 'people's president.'
Speaking in Eldoret town on Saturday, Jirongo termed NASA plans as ill-advised and illegal.
He said the Supreme court upheld the reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto following a repeat poll conducted on October 26, 2017.
Jirongo who was a Presidential candidate in the election further said a normal Kenyan would not attend the planned swearing-in.
NASA has announced that they will swear in Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka on January 30."You cannot be your own court.
The Supreme court directed that a fresh Presidential poll is held within 60 days which was done and even later when a petition was filed challenging the win the very same court upheld the results," said Jirongo.
"Personally I will not attend that swearing in and that tell you what I am thinking. I also believe a normal Kenyan will not be part of those plans," he added.
