Former Minister Cyrus Jirongo has dismissed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election probability, citing the President’s unpopularity in numerous regions.
Poll Star IPSOS Synovate had recently placed President Kenyatta on top of his archrival Raila Odinga as the best suited candidate to win 2017 elections.
In his Facebook post, Jirongo accused Kenyatta of planning to rig 2017 elections by pushing manual voting and transmission method as opposed to electronic one.
“Do you want to tell me that combined Kikuyus and Kalenjin votes can make Uhuru president? That’s a lie from the devil. They stole over 2 million votes through this thing they are forcing down our throats,” he said.
”Kenyans who voted Musalia Mudavadi plus Nyanza, Western, Coast, Turkana, Maasai and Muslims … and I am told that Meru’s are 50-50 and that leaves a chunk of Eastern votes for Raila Odinga,” he added.
Jirongo also accused Deputy President William Ruto of ‘arrogance and blatant’ theft which he claimed had ‘chased’ many votes from President Kenyatta.
