United Democratic Party (UDP) stakeholders have commenced a project known as “Jirongo Sasa” that supports UDP leader Cyrus Jirongo to contest for presidential seat come 2017 polls.
Speaking on Monday in Nyamira town, UDP chairman Justus Rasugu during the launch of the Jirongo Sasa Project assured that the party will support the former Lugari MP in his presidential bid.
According to him, Jirongo has the potential to spearhead development in the country because of his humbleness and patience.
“If we want our country to go ahead let us have fresh blood and support Cyrus Jirongo in the next general elections to become president,” said Rasugu.
He added that Jirongo is a humble man who can manage to lead this country positively towards development in different sectors.
Rasugo said he has put in place strategies to traverse the country to ask people to support Jirongo.
On the hand, Obedience Pentecostal Church Pastor Charles Awata and Alfred Nyambati said the former legislator is the only man who can achieve development without tribalism .
