Jirongo says he is still holding consultations whether to vie for Kenya's top seat in the next year's polls.

"I have what it takes to lead this country. I am still consulting whether to vie for president," he said.

Jirongo had announced his intention to vie for presidency in the 2013 general elections but later opted out.

He was speaking in an interview with Kenya's national broadcaster KBC television.
