Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo says the opposition team will hold joint campaigns across the country top popularise its candidate.
With only seven months to August 8 General elections, the opposition team is yet to settle on the ideal candidate to face President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee Party.
In his Facebook account, Jirongo said the opposition team has decided to embark on joint campaigns, similar to those Odinga’s team held in 2007.
“We are going to do joint-separate campaigns which essentially mean that we will dispatch our team across the country and occasionally meet on mega campaigns,’” he said.
“The method will enable us reach more regions and rally our change agenda. We have discussed as a team and more details will be revealed soon when we officially launch our campaign,” added Jirongo.
Last week, opposition leader Raila Odinga is understood to have met Jirongo and Wetangula where they discussed this year’s elections in depth.
