Kenya Airways has today, Wednesday, morning said that the Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi will be affected by a Kenya Airforce military drill.
This, according to Kenya Airways will affect flights to and from the airport, during the one-hour drill which will take place between 11.20am and 12.20 pm.
The company said a total of nice flights will be affected, and normal transport will resume immediately after the drill.
“Schedule changes on: KQ264/265, KQ351, KQ401, KQ412, KQ434, KQ550, KQ654/655,” KQ wrote on its official twitter account.
The drill is in readiness of Jamhuri Day celebrations, which are slated for December 12.
The airport has had its fair share of disruptions in recent times, with the latest being a week ago when there were delays after a Somali aircraft crash-landed on the airport’s runway.
