JKL host Jeff Koinange has left KTN.
This follows public outrage following an episode where he allegedly allowed Nairobi 2017 gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna to sexually abuse fellow aspirant Esther Passaris on his show, verbally.
Miguna's statement towards Passaris: "Esther, you are very beautiful, everyone wants to rape you", caused outrage among Kenyans and women rights institutions, demanding action be taken against Koinange.
Jeff has been on the receiving end for the said show, for allowing Miguna to 'disrespect' Passaris.
On Thursday, 24 October, 2016, the former CNN journalist bid farewell to his followers and Kenyans at large, saying he would 'come back' on another television station in the coming weeks.
This is after he interviewed gospel artists, Sinach of Nigeria ('I know who I am' hit-maker) and Nigerian Kenyan born Emmy Kosgei.
"About a week ago, we had a programme which deteriorated into something else where two guests went into each other, really out for control. and there are some people out there who think I should have done something to controll them. but in television, it's always not easy," Jeff said, and apologised to his viewers over the incident.
He added: "This will be the final JKL episode on KTN but I promise to come back in another station. JKL isn't going anywhere. It's just changing homes."
He further thanked the first family for supporting the show and all his followers on social media.
