Learning was Tuesday paralysed at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT) Nakuru CBD campus after students went on a rampage.
The students were protesting alleged laxity by lecturers. They engaged police in running battles.
"We pay fees to be taught not to idle around. Our lecturers are doing us a great disservice," a student, who only identified himself as Mark, said.
His sentiments were echoed by Susan Indimuli who said that their protest was aimed at airing their plight before the police moved in and dispersed them.
The strike comes barely three weeks after their Thika-based main campus colleagues also went on a rampage following the death of their colleague in the varsity's Juja Campus Hospital.
The University management however only promised to address the matter later as they were holed up in a meeting.
