Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) on Saturday announced through a memo that it will resume its academic activities as from December 4.In the memo, the school's registrar Esther Muoria asked the students to report back to school on Sunday to prepare for classes Monday."This is to inform all students who were in session for the September-December Semester that lectures will resume on Monday, 4th December, 2017 as from 7.00 AM," read the notice."You are therefore hereby directed to make arrangements and ensure you are available for the same without fail. Students residing in University Hostels can report to the University as from Sunday, 3rd December, 2017," it continuedShe further asked students to ensure they clear fee balances and clear all pending processes with their various departments."You're further advised to ensure you have cleared any outstanding fee balance and sign nominal rolls in your respective departments upon reporting back," the notice concluded.The school was closed indefinitely on 15 November following students' unrest and lecturers strike that is still ongoing.The dons are pushing for fulfilment of the 2013-17 CBA drafted by universities, unions and the government.Lecturers said lack of accountability on the part of the government is the cause of their strikes.
