Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) fraternity is mourning the demise of one of their students, who was killed by suspected thugs.
Confirming the incident, the police said that the student, Tim Sydney Aomba, was accosted by the thugs between Skyline apartment and the Coca-Cola depot while coming from a meet up with his friends in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) before he was killed in cold blood.
The police report further indicates the death could be a case of robbery with violence. The deceased reportedly tried to escape after being attacked but he could not manage because of excessive bleeding. A good Samaritan paid motorcycle riders and asked them to take him to the nearby hospital for treatment where he was declared dead upon arrival.
“After he was stabbed, he tried to run away but could not get far as he was bleeding profusely so he fell in front of a shop owned by some woman who paid a nearby boda-boda rider to rush him to the JKUAT students’ hospital. Unfortunately, he had already lost too much blood by then and was declared dead on arrival,” the reads part of the report.
He body was transferred to Kenyatta University Mortuary awaiting a postmortem scheduled for Tuesday.
