Prof Imbuga says that violence is the result of petty politics and incitement.

Speaking during the university’s graduation ceremony on Monday, Imbuga said that incitement by fellow students due to petty politics should not be a reason to tarnish the good reputation the institution holds in the country.

She has urged the students to come together and involve dialogue to discuss matters arising rather than taking to the streets and barricading the superhighway and destroying the residents’ asset.

“Let us not be incited by the wayward in the institution but discuss our problems rather than rampaging and destroying property,” Prof Imbuga urged.

The students had taken to the street due to alleged poor management and increment of school fees.
