Despite his recent hyped activities in Kisii County, Deputy Governor Joash Maangi is being threatened by the recent political activities by Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati.
Mr Arati has been causing the DG sleepless nights to an extent of the two exchanging as Governor James Ongwae watched at a public function.
Speaking to Hivisasa, Mr Arati said that he was only crowned as the Abagusii spokesperson and that did not mean that he was eyeing any elective post.
"I was only crowned as the spokesperson and that does not mean that am planning to run for any post in Kisii county," he said.
Another headache facing Mr Maangi is the fallout between him and Jubilee Governorship candidate during last year's election Mr Chris Obure.
Mr Obure who is now the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of transport is also respected as one of the most influential leaders in the county.
His silence after the election is not clear whether he will be running for the seat which Mr Maangi badly wants, Governorship.
Kitutu chache South MP Richard Onyonka is also considered as a threat to the future of Mr Maangi's political career.
In last year's elections, Mr Onyonka announced that he will be running for one of the top counties seats but did not specify which one.
It will be interesting to see how things unleash in the next five years.
