Mwingi central MP Joe Mutambu has warned that Cord will lose with any of their co-principals as the flag bearer of the party.
Matambu who was speaking on K24's Face off show insisted that the number Cord will garner in the 2017 polls is already known to Kenyans and it will not drive them to power.
"The value of Cord is now well known to Kenyans," Matambu said.
"It doesn't matter who they will choose to lead them the numbers they will garner are known and that will not change, this is the reality," he added.
Mutambu said that Cord will still make the opposition even after next year's polls. He also warned the opposition to stop living in denial and come to terms that they will lose to Jubilee in next year's polls.
"But because it is a competition you must have an opposition even if it is a weaker team," he said referring to Cord.
"And because they are living in denial they will not see this," he added.
