The daughter of former powerful politician John Michuki does not want to have kids in all her life.
Wanja Michuki, a wellness coach, writer, motivational speaker and private wealth management consultant, said children would be a 'distraction' to her work which she termed as 'really fulfilling'.
In an interview with Business Daily, the daughter of the late famous Transport Minister said she believes in reincarnation and suggested she might have kids after 'rebirth'.
Reincarnation, which is also referred to as transmigration, is a belief that an aspect of a living being starts a new life in a different physical body or form after each biological death.
"I don't think so. I think my work is where I am going to spend the rest of my life, time and energy. If I have children, I won't be able to do it," she said when asked when she was planning to have kids.
"Children are a responsibility and it will be a distraction and because I do believe in reincarnation, I say maybe next life I might," Wanja added.
The founder of the defunct Highlands Tea Company noted that her decision not to have children of her own could have been influenced by trauma she suffered when she was sexually abused at the age of four.
"Quite a number of women I know who have gone through abuse don't have children and it could be. I wouldn't rule that out," Wanja stated.
