Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu has been re-elected the Council of Governors (COG) vice-chair.
In the elections that were held on Monday, Turkana’s county boss Josephat Nanok was elected the council’s chairman.
Nanok will replace his Meru counterpart Peter Munya.
Kiambu Governor William Kabogo will take over from Marsabit Governor Ukur Yatani as the council’s whip.
Speaking after the elections Munya lauded the governors for carrying out a fair and peaceful exercise.
"I congratulate the Council of Governors for the smooth election of new leadership," said Munya.
