Former Kenya Rural Roads Authority Director-General John Ogango has rejected President Uhuru Kenyatta's ambassadorial job offer.

A fort night ago, Uhuru filled vacant positions in foreign missions but he failed to indicate their missions.

National Assembly's Defense and Foreign Relations Committee chair Katoo Ole Metito said Mr Ogango submitted a letter to his office, citing personal reasons for his rejection.

The nominee was scheduled to appear to the committee on Monday for vetting, and his U-turn has caused panic within the committee.

Others who are to be vetted are former Migori Senator Wlfred Machage, Former Sports CS Richard Ekai and ex-Lagdera MP Mohammed Shidiye.
