The nominated Member of Parliament will receive the award on July 8, 2016 during African Achievers Awards at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, Nigeria.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu, former Malawi President Joyce Banda and African Union Commission Chairman Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma are some of the leaders who have scooped the award in the past.

Sakaja is being feted for his role in shaping youth agenda in Kenya.

He championed the enactment of a law to implement the government's policy of allocating 30 per cent of all government tenders to youth, women and people with disabilities.
