Barely a week after Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho was involved in an altercation with security personnel at Nyali Police Station, DIMA Management Limited has now accused him of hatching a plot to grab its beach front plot of land in Nyali.

According to the owners of the company, the county boss, the 0.5 hectares in the area does not belong to the government, KBC has reported.

Through, its legal counsel Thomas Kabahati, the company argues that the lawmaker wants to use his post to grab the land.

According to Joho, documents obtained from National Land Commission outline that the land belongs to the government and not DIMA company as alleged by the management.

The county also argues that the land should allow for easy access to the beach.

The management has, however, maintained that it will not allow the county boss to take over the land, which belongs to the firm.

The management has also asked the police to protect it from harassment and intimidation from Governors brother Abu Joho.

The governor has maintained that he will continue fighting for what belongs to the common mwananchi during his second term in power following his re-election.
