Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has dismissed claims that there is a fallout among top leaders in the National Super Alliance (NASA).Speaking to journalists in Mombasa on Monday, Joho said NASA leaders are united and focused on pushing their reform agenda forward. The ODM deputy party leader said the claims of a possible fallout in the opposition are being peddled by Jubilee sympathisers, adding that Jubilee is keen to see a break-up in NASA.Joho said NASA will not split, adding that their resolve for reforms is for the interests of Kenyans. “We are determined as NASA and we urge our supporters to ignore rumours of a split and support us,” he said. The vocal Mombasa Governor said NASA’s agenda is on course, adding that all the principles are committed to it.He said that they cannot give up on their justifiable push for reforms. There have been rumours of a possible fallout among NASA principals over the calls to have Raila Odinga sworn-in as the people’s president.Speculations indicate that some NASA principals are opposed to the swearing-in and want other tactics used to push the reform agenda.Among principals said to be against Raila’s swearing-in is wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who is also Raila’s deputy.Speaking to journalists after a consultative meeting in Kilifi on the people’s assembly on Sunday, Raila said that everything is well in NASA, adding that the coalition will not split. He termed people spreading the rumours as prophets of doom, and maintained that he will be sworn in as the people’s president when the right time comes.Raila’s swearing-in was called off a week ago, with organisers saying that it will be held next year.Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
