Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung’aro has hit on Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, claiming that he is afraid of growing influence of Jubilee Party in the coast.
Mung’aro further claims that Joho’s feud with Jubilee administration is a scheme to seek sympathy votes after presiding over a failed administration in the county.
Joho has been at loggerheads with Jubilee government and on Thursday, he reportedly sent security officers assigned to man his official residence packing.
“I want to assure you that Jubilee is taking control over the coastal region and that is why some people like Joho are so scared. People are tired with opposition politics,” he told a huge gathering of Jubilee aspirants at Kasarani on Friday.
“He is attacking the president just to hide his failures and I want to assure you that he is headed home. People have decided that Jubilee is the party to restore hope for coastal people,” he added.
Mung’aro was expelled by Orange Democratic Movement last year for allegedly working with Jubilee administration and has since joined President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party.
