After the successful bid for the 79th SKAL International World Congress 2018, Mombasa is proud to host the congress, which will be held from 17th to 21st October 2018 at Pride Inn Paradise Resort in Mombasa.
On Wednesday morning, the Skal International delegation led by the President Susanne Saari paid Governor Ali Hassan Joho, a courtesy call at his office.
"The delegation is impressed with progress made by the local organizing committee led Skal Kenya president Mr. Victor Shitaka and the County Department of Trade, Tourism and Investment led by Mr. Fawz Rashid in preparation for the Congress on the Beach," said Joho.
This is the first time the event is being held in Kenya and over 500 Skål members from around the world are expected.
Members will have the opportunity to meet with experts who will offer insights into trends and emerging technologies in the travel and tourism market, plus finding ways to improve the business and stay competitive in the current economic climate.
"This is the leading forum for high level networking across the entire hospitality industry."
Susanna Saari accompanied by Fawz Rashid also had an inspection tour ahead of the congress.
Kenya was ratified to host the Congress at the sandy beaches of Mombasa.
