Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, on Friday night led the 69th commemoration of the Republic day of India.

Flanked by India Deputy High Commissioner Sanjiv Khanduri and the Indian Community, the ceremony was held at the Nyali Beach Holiday Hotel. 

Kenya, especially Mombasa has enjoyed a very cordial relationship with India for decades. 

"It is our hope that this partnership will continue to present robust opportunities that will not only facilitate knowledge and skills transfer but also expand trade and investments," said Joho.
