Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho now wants the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka not to campaign in Mombasa County.
Speaking in Jomvu Constituency during a campaign rally, Joho said he wants his bosses to concentrate NASA campaigns on other parts of the country and leave Mombasa to him and his supporters.
“I asked our party leader and presidential candidate to leave Mombasa to me. We have a solid support base and are banking on 99 per cent of the votes,” he said as quoted by the Standard.
The ODM deputy party leader also claimed that Jubilee Party had planted informers in the Opposition alliance who were masquerading as NASA aspirants.
“They are close to us but we know who their masters are and we shall defeat them,” Joho remarked.
Joho asked Jomvu residents to rally behind Raila's candidature so he can triumph over President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee whom he accused of failing the country.
“You all know what kind of mess our economy is in courtesy of the Jubilee government. Let’s kick them out and ensure that Raila Odinga becomes Kenya’s 5th President,” he added.
