Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has said that Jubilee government moves to withdraw opposition leaders security will not deter their push to liberate the country from  'tyranny' rule.

Joho states that their push cannot be stopped adding that they will survive without security.

Speaking to journalists after commissioning the Sh14 Million Maternity ward at Tudor sub-county hospital in Mombasa on Thursday, the vocal ODM governor said that their quest for electoral reforms and justice is unstoppable.

The ODM deputy party leader said that Jubilee is desperate and afraid of NASA’s push for liberation. 

“We are not going to be intimidated by Jubilees dictatorial tactics aimed at stalling our reforms agenda,” Joho said on Thursday.

The governor added that they will not beg the government to return their security. 

The Mombasa county boss claimed that Jubilee is frightened after witnessing thousands of Kenyans attend Raila Odinga’s Tuesday inauguration.

Joho asked Kenyans and NASA supporters to stand with Raila as he takes the push for electoral reforms to another level.

Governor Joho is among opposition top politicians who attended Raila’s swearing and whose security has been allegedly withdrawn by the government.

According to Mvita MP Abdulwasmad Nassir, Joho’s four security was withdrawn on Wednesday.

NASA deputy leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress (ANC) Party leader Musalia Mudavadi, and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula security are also said to have been withdrawn.

Prior to Raila’s Tuesday swearing-in, Kalonzo had complained stating that the government had withdrawn his security.The NASA deputy leader went on to skip the swearing-in at Uhuru Park.

On Wednesday, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i vowed to lead a crackdown on individuals who planned and administered Raila’s Tuesday oath.
