Governor Hassan Joho has asked Coast NASA politicians dissatisfied with the parliamentary leadership positions list that had been forwaded to the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi to calm down as the alliance top leaders intervene.Speaking to journalists in Mombasa Town on Friday, Joho said that there is no need for the politicans to give threats.Joho, who is also Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party deputy leader, said that NASA is a coalition and that rights and interests of every affiliate party will be respected."I want to assure my colleagues in Coast and any other part of the country who feel aggrieved by the list forwaded to the National Assembly that their concerns have been heard and our top leaders will convene to give way forward," the Mombasa governor said.Joho said that NASA needs to remain united ahead of the huge task which is to fight for electoral reforms.He warned that the opposition agenda will be crippled if affiliate parties start giving threats of quitting.The Raila Odinga-led alliance has been rocked by internal suspicion as some affiliate parties threaten to pull out over what they term as discrimination on key issues.Amani National Congress (ANC) party deputy leader and Lugari MP Ayub Savula has allegedly written to the party leader Musalia Mudavadi seeking permission to have the party pull out of NASA.Savula claims that NASA is no longer a coalition alleging that Raila Odinga-led ODM party has taken over the alliance and is allegedly undermining other affiliate members.The MP claimed that there is no internal democracy in the alliance adding that decisions are being made without proper consultations.On Wednesday a section of Coast politicians allied to NASA cried foul over paliamentary leadership positions list forwaded to national assembly Speaker Justin Muturi.The MPs claimed that they were sidelined in the list and wants NASA top leaders to intervene.The Coast NASA politicians have vowed not to recognise the list until it is revised.
