Governor Hassan Joho has told off politicians from Kwale County who are said to be organising to block his visit to the county.
Joho said he has every right to visit any part of the country without seeking anyone's approval.
"Let me tell you that the issues that affect the people of Kwale affect me and the people of Mombasa," he said on Saturday during celebrations to mark ODM's ten years of existence.
"Whether you like it or not, I will visit Kwale," he said.
Although he did not mention names, the governor said politicians plotting to block him from visiting the Coastal county will fail in their unpopular move.
Joho is ODM deputy leader and has remained one of the most loyal politicians to the party.
Kwale is headed by Governor Salim Mvurya who recently expressed willingness to ditch the opposition and work with the Jubilee administration.
However, he has not officially quit ODM, the party through which he was elected governor. He said working with the government is the surest way of jacking development in the county.
He made the announcement during President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit to Kwale.
Joho declared he would traverse the country to market ODM and party leader Raila Odinga's presidential candidature.
