Joho who spoke in Mombasa on Tuesday morning said he is ready to work with all leaders to better people's lives and cautioned politicians against forming barriers at the expense of working for the electorate.

“I was talking to Awiti before this news briefing and we even hinted at partnering to form the next county government instead of the public fights and he told me we can form the winning team,” said Joho.

It is believed that the two leaders are now planning a political pact that might see Awiti deputise Joho in the next polls as the fate of the current deputy governor Hazel Katana hangs in the balance after a major fallout with the governor.

Awiti who has been an ardent critic of the governor seems to have softened his stance as he has in the recent past been seen in most of Joho’s functions.
