Photo: Hassan Joho/ facebook.comMombasa Governor Hassan Joho on Sunday unwittingly endorsed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga for Presidency after jetting back into the county from the United States of America.Joho received a warm reception when he landed at the Moi International Airport following his two-week State tour in the US.The flamboyant governor did not disappoint his supporters who had been waiting at different areas in Mombasa for hours to welcome him.In the excitement, Joho declared Raila as the best candidate the opposition should field to battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in the upcoming general election.He said the journey to make Raila the next head of state has began.“Nataka niwaambie, msururu wa msafara wa kuona kwamba Raila Amollo Odinga amekua rais unaanza rasmi katika Pwani yetu hii. (I want to tell you, the mission to ensure Raila Amollo Odinga becomes president officially starts in this coastal region of ours,”) said Joho, as quoted by Tuko.co.ke. Joho’s remarks come at a time when leaders from the opposition are still holding talks to determine who will be NASA's flag bearer.
