Rivalry between Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and President Uhuru Kenyatta could take a new twist after the outspoken county boss vowed to ‘fight’ hard to ensure Jubilee loses.

The outburst between the two being synonymous to Kenyans, Joho has often found himself on the receiving end with authorities keen to silence him.

And on Sunday, a tough speaking Joho labeled himself ‘Adui 001 of Kenyatta’, a term which loosely translates to ‘Enemy number one of the president’.

“I am not scared of him because he is my enemy number one. I will work extra hard to ensure he loses elections in August and that is a guarantee,” said Joho amid a cheering crowd.

He added: “I am waiting for him to launch SGR which is one of fake projects in which Kenyans have lost billions. He must account for the money and I will tell him face to face.”

Recently, Joho was blocked from accessing a presidential function by a contingent of GSU officers in Likoni with the president warning him against attending his functions.

Although he is yet to submit his papers for reelection, Joho is likely to face a new twist following questions regarding his academic qualifications.
