A man was on Tuesday injured after being hit a car belonging to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho convoy.
The incident occured in Jomvu Mombasa, during a campaign rally by the governor.
The victim was among Mr Joho's supporters who had come out during the governor’s door-to-door vote hunt.
The incident forced Joho to cut short his campaign and aked for the man to be taken to hospital.
"We cannot proceed. I am told one of our supporters has been hit by a car. Let us go and see if he is seriously injured and help him," he said.
The casualty was carried by other supporters and taken to a nearby hospital in Jomvu.
Mr Joho then continued with his campaign to Mikindani.
