Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho has told off President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto over Coast region votes ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Jubilee has been attempting to make inroads into the Coast region.
But speaking on Saturday, the outspoken county chief noted that the region was firmly in support of NASA, warning that Jubilee is unlikely to get any support from the area.
“This time Uhuru and Ruto should know that when you come to Kwale you are just tourists, no different with Italians coming down here,” he stated.
"I hear they are planning to give out the Waitiki land, even if they do so, they will not get any votes from here,'' he added.
The ruling party has charged Kwale governor Salim Mvurya, Mombasa gubernatorial candidate on Jubilee Party Suleiman Shabhal, Tourism CS Najib Balala, Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro alongside a host of other local leaders with the responsibility of delivering the Jubilee vote in the region.
The region is largely perceived as a NASA stronghold.
