After burying their political differences and pledging to work togerher during their last Thursday meeting, Mombasa Governor Hasaan Joho has hinted that he will soon be meeting President Uhuru Kenyatta again
Joho and Uhuru had been locked in a bitter political rivalry. However, the Thursday meeting proved to be a game changer and could have a bearing on 2022 politics where the Governor Governor has declared his intention to vie for President.
While speaking on Sunday during an Eid Baraza, Joho who had hosted NASA leader Raila Odinga, said that his newfound love with President Kenyatta is there to stay for the benefit of the people.
"The President has promised me that we shall have a meeting soon with him and we will discuss issues affecting the coastals," Joho said.
Joho's statement comes at a time Deputy President William Ruto has been traversing the region keen to infiltrate Raila's influence to springboard his own political ambitions in the race to State House.
